Digby is seeking a full-time Emergency Medicine Physician. Requirements include up-to-date ACLS and PALS, ATLS is a preferred qualification. In addition, there is an opportunity to participate in teaching medical students and family practice residents from Dalhousie Medical School. Job Description

Responsibilities

• full scope of practice as an emergency physician providing care to patients within the zone
• responsible to the Zone Department Head for Emergency Medicine for their professional responsibilities and quality of practice and will operate within the Medical Staff Bylaws of the Nova Scotia Health Authority
• Operate within the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of Nova Scotia Health Authority. 
• Participate in quality improvement and evaluation activities. 

Expected Hours

• permanent full or part- time

Remuneration

• $223.90 Daytime
• $233.87 Nightime
• Hourly

Qualifications

• All applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS). 
• All specialists must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada(RCPSC)
• Coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA), or proof of alternative coverage.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
