

Company Description
Nova Scotia Health is seeking family physicians to join a developing team at the West Hants Access Clinic in Windsor, Nova Scotia. The West Hants Access Clinic provides primary care access to patients registered on the Need a Family Practice registry and living in the West Hants area.
The clinic provides appointments for people who have an immediate health care need that requires primary care. Patients can make an appointment with a healthcare provider at the clinic while they continue to remain on the registry to find a family practice.
This clinic is collaborative in nature and will consist of family physicians, nurse practitioners, and family practice nurses, care team assistant, social worker and pharmacist. It is managed by Nova Scotia Health with administrative support and is co-located with Avon Medical. The team is fully integrated on Med Access using a shared network EMR.
Payment is on a sessional, hourly basis as per the 2023-2027 Physician Agreement.

Responsibilities
Physician will be responsible to the zone department head of family practice for their professional responsibilities and quality of practice, and will operate within the Medical Staff Bylaws of the Nova Scotia Health Authority.

Qualifications
- All applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- All family physicians must be eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
