Risa Takada brings a unique global perspective and a genuine passion for connecting people with meaningful opportunities. Born in Japan in a small town near Mt. Fuji, she moved to Ohio with her family at the age of five before later relocating to Taiwan, where she completed high school. In 2014, Risa made Halifax her home to attend university and quickly fell in love with the warm people, salty air, and local breweries that make Nova Scotia so special.
Her multicultural upbringing and firsthand experience adapting to different cultures have shaped her passion for recruitment. She enjoys supporting individuals as they navigate significant career and life transitions and is committed to creating positive experiences throughout the recruitment journey.
Risa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of King's College and a Human Resources Management Certificate from Algonquin College.
Outside of work, Risa enjoys visiting farmers' markets, exploring local restaurants, spending time in nature and observing wildlife, making music, and cuddling her cat, Tina.
