Conveniently situated above a pharmacy, the clinic is part of a collaborative healthcare environment, sharing the building with a range of allied health services including physiotherapy, massage therapy, chiropractic care, and audiology.
The clinic is supported by a dedicated practice manager and experienced administrative team, offering full medical reception and billing services. Physicians benefit from independent patient panels with collegial cross-coverage for urgent matters, such as lab follow-ups. The clinic operates Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with no after-hours or call requirements.
Job Description
Dr Ade Akindele Medical Clinic is seeking a family physician to join a supportive and well-established practice in Lower Sackville.
This position offers the opportunity to build and manage an independent patient panel within a collaborative clinic setting. Physicians are supported by a dedicated administrative team who assist with scheduling, patient flow, and physician billing, allowing you to focus on clinical care.
The clinic uses TELUS Med Access as its EMR system.

Clinical Practice:
Physicians have the opportunity to perform a variety of in-office procedures, including:
- IUD insertions
- Joint injections
- Minor skin procedures
The clinic is well-equipped to support procedural work, including:
- Designated procedure space
- Access to sterilization equipment (autoclave)
- Procedure trays and kits supplied by the clinic
Qualifications
- All applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- All applicants must be eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)

Lower Sackville is approximately 25 kms or a 20 minute drive from downtown Halifax, and its close proximity to the capital gives Lower Sackville the advantages of local employment opportunities and infrastructure of a larger city. The district is very typical of many “commuter communities”, experiencing exponential growth in recent years.
The community's growth reflects its central location, near both Halifax and Dartmouth, with easy access to Highway 102. Making it an easy commute to employment opportunities and services of a larger city, and is typical of most commuter communities experiencing growth in North America.
Lower Sackville has experienced ribbon/strip-style commercial development along Trunk 1 since the 1960s. Current retail chains include Sobeys, Atlantic Superstore, Canadian Tire, Cleve's Sporting Goods, Dollarama and Giant Tiger. There are numerous independent retailers located in this area as well.
The majority of Lower Sackville's suburbs were built in the 1970s on the southern edge of First Lake, which offers outdoor recreational opportunities. In recent years with the development of Sunset Ridge, Lawson Estates and Twin Brooks entering from Executive Drive and connecting to Millwood subdivision has driven the growth of the area. These planned communities have a combination of single detached homes, semi-detached and even apartment complexes. Due to the good resale of the homes in Lower and Middle Sackville it is a popular neighbourhood for military families.
