About the Opportunity

The South Shore Regional Hospital (SSRH) in Bridgewater has a full-time permanent position in diagnostic radiology. The successful applicant will join a group of six (6) radiologists to provide diagnostic imaging services to the SSRH, Queen’s General Hospital and Fisherman Memorial Hospital as well as call coverage.
South Shore Regional Hospital (SSRH) is a primary and secondary care hospital and designated district trauma centre.  SSRH will see the instillation of a new MRI to be operational by January 2026.  SSRH has 85 inpatient beds including medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetrics, and mental health units. The modern regional hospital is the cornerstone of Bridgewater’s residents and surrounding community members’ quality of life.

Job Description

Responsibilities

•    Diagnostic imaging services including CT, MRI, ultrasound, x-ray, mammography and nuclear medicine 
•    Various image guided procedures
•    Physician will be responsible to the Zone Department of Radiology for professional responsibilities and quality of practice, as well as operated within the medical staff Bylaws of Nova Scotia Health
•    Provide hospital and call support as required
•    Contribute to and participate in other administrative responsibilities as assigned
