Doctors’ Day is May 1, a time to celebrate physicians and medical learners who go above and beyond to ensure Nova Scotia has healthy communities, for generations.

From family physicians to specialists, researchers to learners, these healthcare heroes work to keep us healthy and guide us through life’s most vulnerable moments. Doctors’ Day is an opportunity to say thank you and reflect on the impact these professionals make every single day.

Nova Scotia Health is proud to honour remarkable physicians who make a difference in our communities. Here are a few stories about their impact across the province.

Physicians Advancing Care by Specialty
 

Dr. Andrea Mossman of New Minas was honoured with the Dalhousie Family Medicine Exceptional Teacher Award. Read more.
