Andrew's role specifically focuses on engaging medical learners at all stages in their journey to practice and helping them navigate the recruitment process. He aims to understand what their ideal practice looks like and match them with opportunities that align with their interests, expertise, and lifestyle. From organizing local events to attending international conferences, Andrew engages with hundreds of medical learners annually. His efforts are strategically directed towards fostering connections and relationships, with a particular emphasis on retaining medical professionals who are currently practicing in the province.
With a background as the Student Affairs Advisor for the Dalhousie Faculty of Medicine in Halifax, Andrew brings over 7 years of experience in student support, having worked with medical students and residents. Born in Toronto, he completed his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Social Anthropology at Dalhousie in 2011 and has been a resident of the province since 2006.
Currently residing in Halifax with his wife and kids, Andrew enjoys meditation, cooking, vintage Italian road bicycles, and gardening in his spare time.
