Company Description
Rockingham Ridge Medical Centre is a professionally managed family practice, located in the busy suburban area of Clayton Park, Halifax. Owned and operated by the Ravines Group, this clinic is centrally located and is conveniently nested within a residential area with a short commute to schools, stores and shopping centers. There is currently one physician in the clinic and a Family Practice Nurse whose services are equally shared amongst physicians. This role may come with an existing patient roster of 1200 to 1400 patients. There are also potentially opportunities for additional physicians to join the practice.
This will be a fully collaborative practice. Once at full complement, physicians will meet weekly, discuss patients, special cases. Director of Clinical Operations joins monthly to address operational needs. Physicians often attend CMEs together. Leave is generally covered by a locum, recruited by the Director of Clinical Operations. Patients can access after hours care, through the Ravines Medical Walk – in clinic in Bedford. The entire group network is on one platform and there is ample opportunity for connecting and support from physicians across the Ravines group.
Clinic is on Telus Med Acccess, and full billing support will be provided. Opportunity for practice on the LFM or FFS model.
Overhead is comprehensive and competitive, and this is a professionally managed group.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures;
- Advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention
- Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners
- Act as a patient’s advocate
- Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations
- Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements

Qualifications
- All applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- All family physicians must be eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
