Company Description

Dr. Joel Arsenault maintains a part-time family practice split between two locations, serving approximately 900 patients in total. On Mondays and Tuesdays, he sees patients at the Digby Health Centre, with clinic hours from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. On Wednesdays and Thursdays, he practices at the Clare Medical Center, where clinic hours run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Both sites utilize the Med-Access electronic medical record system, allowing for seamless continuity of care. Dr. Arsenault provides comprehensive primary care services and is committed to supporting the health and well-being of his rural Nova Scotia communities.

Job Description

Dr. Joel Arsenault is seeking a Family Physician to provide Locum coverage from August 18th, 2025, to September 19th 2025.

Locum physicians provide coverage for family practices, including inpatient and nursing home care, as well as specialist hospital and office coverage as requested. Compensation includes a minimum daily income guarantee of $1,200 for family physicians ($600 for half-day), with additional earnings if shadow billings exceed this amount. Travel expenses, including kilometrage, per diems, accommodations (up to $300 per night), and airfare (up to $1,500), are reimbursed, along with travel time up to 10 hours per week. Licensing fees for CPSNS are covered, and locum physicians may claim Facility On Call fees under specific conditions.
