Conveniently located near South Shore Regional Hospital, the clinic benefits from easy access to additional medical services and specialist support. The practice uses the Med Access electronic medical record system to ensure efficient and streamlined patient care.

Job Description

North Street Family Health is seeking a Family Physician to provide Locum coverage during the following dates:

• July 21-24, 2025
• July 28-31, 2025
• August 18-21, 2025
• August 25-28, 2025

Locum physicians provide coverage for family practices, including inpatient and nursing home care, as well as specialist hospital and office coverage as requested. Compensation includes a minimum daily income guarantee of $1,200 for family physicians ($600 for half-day), with additional earnings if shadow billings exceed this amount. Travel expenses, including kilometrage, per diems, accommodations (up to $300 per night), and airfare (up to $1,500), are reimbursed, along with travel time up to 10 hours per week. Licensing fees for CPSNS are covered, and locum physicians may claim Facility On Call fees under specific conditions.

Qualifications

• All applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
• All family physicians must be eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
• Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
