Company Description

The New Waterford Family Practice is a well-supported group practice offering comprehensive care with an integrated team approach. The team includes a social worker, a diabetes clinic, a dietitian, a family practice nurse, and a nurse practitioner. The practice has two fully equipped exam rooms and access to the Med Access EMR system. An efficient office secretary manages administrative tasks, including billing, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. This setup provides a great balance of clinic and hospital work in a collaborative and well-supported environment.

Job Description

Locum opportunities are available, including one-week hospitalist shifts in June and July. Locum physicians can choose to work one or two weeks in the office, with the option of combining two weeks in the office with one week as a hospitalist

Locum physicians provide coverage for family practices, including inpatient and nursing home care, as well as specialist hospital and office coverage as requested. Compensation includes a minimum daily income guarantee of $1,200 for family physicians ($600 for half-day), with additional earnings if shadow billings exceed this amount. Travel expenses, including kilometrage, per diems, accommodations (up to $300 per night), and airfare (up to $1,500), are reimbursed, along with travel time up to 10 hours per week. Licensing fees for CPSNS are covered, and locum physicians may claim Facility On Call fees under specific conditions.
