About This Opportunity
Skyview Medical Clinic is seeking a family physician to join this clinic consisting of 7 family physicians. The clinic uses the MedAccess electronic medical record (EMR) system, and is located on Spring Garden Road. A family practice nurse is expected to join the team later in 2025. This practice is professionally managed and has very experienced administrative staff and offers full billing support to physicians.
The expected timeline for this position would be a start of August 2025. The incoming physician would be expected to take over a panel of approximately 1100 patients who are currently rostered to another physician.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures
- Advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention
- Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners
- Act as a patient’s advocate
- Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations
- Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements

Qualifications
- Eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
- Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
