Woodlawn Medical Centre in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia is seeking a short term locum to cover a five week leave for a family physician. This locum opportunity runs from March 10/25- April 18/25.
This modern clinic is located a short drive from downtown Dartmouth and comfortable commute from Halifax. The clinic is a large collaborative practice with family physicians, nurse practitioners, family practice nurses and specialists on site; they are seeking family physicians to join their team in a full time and a part time role. The clinic is well maintained, professionally managed and fully supported by friendly administrative staff.

Job Description
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures; advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention
- Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners’
- Act as a patient’s advocate
- Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations
- Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements
Expected Hours

Qualifications
- All applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- All family physicians must be eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
