Company Description

Nova Scotia Health is seeking family physicians to join a new and developing team at the Yarmouth County Primary Care Clinic (PCC) there are multiple sites in well maintained facilities with access to meeting space.  The Yarmouth County PCC provides primary care access to patients registered on the Need a Family Practice registry and living in the Yarmouth County area.
The clinic provides appointments for people who have an immediate health care need that requires primary care. Patients can make an appointment with a healthcare provider at the clinic while they continue to remain on the registry to find a family practice. 
This clinic is collaborative in nature and will consist of family physicians, nurse practitioners, family practice nurses, care team assistant, social worker and pharmacist. It is managed by Nova Scotia Health with administrative support and is fully integrated on Med Access.

The Yarmouth PCC currently operates from three locations, one is located in Yarmouth Regional Hospital (YRH), the second is located downtown Yarmouth in the Harbour South Medical Clinic building, and the third is located in Pubnico at the AM Clark Health Centre.

Job Description

Responsibilities

Physician will be responsible to the zone department head of family practice for their professional responsibilities and quality of practice, and will operate within the Medical Staff Bylaws of the Nova Scotia Health Authority.

Expected Hours

  • full-time or part-time
  • Sessional hourly rate available
  • Flexible hours can be accommodated
