The Division of Gynecologic Oncology is welcoming applications for academic medical staff positions. We are expanding to a Division of 5.8 FTE within the C/AFP (Clinical Academic Funding Plan) in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology. The Division provides gynecologic oncology care primarily for the province of Nova Scotia, which has a population of over one million, most of whom are rural.

Job Description

Our primary site is in Halifax with outreach to community centers for clinical care. The group works closely with radiation oncology, pathology, and genetics. We enjoy strong clinical and academic collaboration with gynecologists, oncology nurse practitioners, and those in general oncologic practice.

We have strong academic and research partnerships with foundational scientists and epidemiologists. Department members participate in medical education and clinically-oriented research. Within our Collective Practice, we are particularly interested in provincial quality of care initiatives to ensure equitable access and delivery of care.

We currently work in a Collective Care Clinical Model, and within this is a shared surgical practice. We are looking for a new collaborative team member who exhibits innovative thinking and is dedicated to providing and advancing the highest quality care for patients living with gynecologic cancers in Nova Scotia.
