Company Description
This is a custom built clinic space in the popular Bayers Road area. The clinic is located within a shopping/business centre, and has a full wall of frosted windows for natural light. This clinic is a great opportunity for a solo physician who wants to take over a prime location and operate a solo practice, or the office could be converted to accommodate two physicians. The incoming physician will have the ability to do minor procedures in this office. There is an allergy test kit which will be left at the office, as well as Hyfrecator, Defibrillator, and furniture. Patient profile is a mixed socioeconomic group, ranging from 7 weeks old to 106. Very competitive overhead.
Job Description
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures; advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention
- Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners’
- Act as a patient’s advocate
- Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations
- Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements
Qualifications
- Eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
- Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
