Company Description

Crossroads Family Practice in Tantallon is seeking a family physician to Locum, covering a maternity leave from approximately June 2024 for approximately 9 – 12 months (to be determined with host physician). This is a friendly, supportive group of ten physicians and two family practice nurses. They use MedAccess EMR and have LFM contracts. The host physician’s practice size is approximately 1200 patients. Host physician flexible with start and end dates.

Job Description

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures;

  • Advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention
  • Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners
  • Act as a patient’s advocate
  • Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations
  • Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements

Expected Hours
