Nova Scotia, on the stunning east coast of Canada, really does offer it all. Our province of about 1 million people is nearly surrounded by the ocean, so no wonder it influences every corner of life here. On sea, enjoy kayaking, sailing, swimming, and yachting. On land, there’s hiking, skiing, and cycling. And where the two meet, there’s stunning white sand beaches, rugged coastlines that host fishing towns, and beautiful, affordable homes overlooking it all.
Nova Scotia Health (NSH) operates 41 hospitals across the province, along with health centres and community-based programs. Our workforce of 22,000 professionals includes nurses, physicians, researchers, learners, and volunteers who work together to provide a full range of health services. In 2017-18 we performed more than 70,000 surgeries in our operating rooms, and over one million diagnostic imaging exams.
