Licensure for physicians trained outside of Canada

Physicians who have completed Psychiatry training in the UK that was accredited by the Royal College of Psychiatrists (UK) and who have passed the Royal College’s exams may be eligible for full licensure.

If you have not completed training in the UK but hold an active GMC licence without conditions or restrictions and are registered on the specialist register, you may be eligible for provisional licensure in Nova Scotia without the need for additional exams.
