Company Description

The Department of Medicine, Dalhousie University / Nova Scotia Health seeks applications for a full time Infectious Diseases Clinician at the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax, Nova Scotia. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2025.


The Division of Infectious Diseases is one of 15 divisions within the Department of Medicine. In addition to playing an important clinical role in the Department, division members have excellent opportunities for collaborative educational and research activities to facilitate rewarding and fulfilling career development.
 

Job Description

This is a largely clinical position, providing inpatient Infectious Diseases consultation services at the QEII Health Sciences Centre, as well as ambulatory clinics in general infectious diseases and HIV care. Interest and training in the management of HIV and other STIs is required. Formal training and certification in tropical medicine is an asset (DTM&H or equivalent).


An attractive remuneration and benefits package through an alternative funding plan will apply. Academic appointment ranking will be based on qualifications and experience
 

Qualifications

Candidates must have FRCP(C) certification (or equivalent) in Internal Medicine and a certificate of special competence (or equivalent) in Infectious Diseases. Candidates must be eligible for specialty licensure in Nova Scotia. Recent graduates of accredited Royal College Infectious Diseases training programs who are eligible to write the Royal College subspecialty licensing exam are welcome to apply.
